Evident designs and manufactures a diverse range of life science and industrial products, including microscopes, digital pathology solutions, nondestructive testing flaw detectors, X-ray fluorescence analyzers, and video borescopes. We serve a diverse range of customers doing cutting-edge research in the life and material sciences, inspecting infrastructure and other critical assets, and much more.
Evident was originally Olympus Corporation’s Scientific Solutions division. In 2022, we became a stand-alone company before becoming independent in 2023. Although our name is different, our technological expertise, manufacturing capabilities, and commitment to our customers remain unchanged.

Products and Applications
Headquartered in Tokyo Japan, Evident designs and manufactures its life science and industrial solutions in R&D and factory centers in Japan, the United States, Canada, Germany, and China. We serve customers in more than 57 countries with 40 local sales and service centers around the world.
Life Science Solutions and Industrial Microscopes
Evident offers comprehensive solutions across three life science business areas: research, clinical applications, and education. In the research domain, we provide a wide range of microscopy options, from simple brightfield and darkfield imaging to advanced fluorescence and 4D analysis, including upright, inverted, stereo, confocal, multiphoton, slide scanner, and super-resolution systems. For clinical applications in pathology and cytology, Evident's microscopes deliver outstanding optical performance with high image flatness over a wide field of view, while their ergonomically designed upright and inverted systems enhance comfort and precision in procedures such as ICSI. The company also offers a variety of cell culture solutions, including automated monitoring systems with software for rapid, accurate data collection and analysis. In the education sector, Evident provides cost-effective, durable microscopes designed for science classrooms, featuring high optical performance, ease of use, and compatibility with digital color cameras for enhanced discussions using monitors or projectors. Across all three areas, Evident's solutions are built on proven optical and application expertise to meet the diverse needs of life science professionals and students.
Industrial Measurement Systems (IMS)
Evident’s industrial products serve customers in a wide variety of sectors. Our material science solutions include laser scanning, digital, and semiconductor microscopes, providing flexible solutions for analysis applications like measuring, quality control, and manufacturing. To inspect hard-to-reach areas, our video borescopes provide outstanding image quality on high-resolution LCD monitors with versatile options. In nondestructive testing, Evident empowers inspectors with leading-edge thickness gauges, flaw detectors, phased array instrumentation, and scanners. Our X-ray fluorescence (XRF) material analyzers deliver element composition analysis for alloys, precious metals, environmental assessments, and more. Together, our industrial solutions serve customers in key industries such as electronics, metals, aerospace, automotive, power generation, rail, oil & gas, manufacturing, and mining.
