Our product and technology portfolio is built around nondestructive testing (NDT), remote visual inspection (RVI), and material analysis. Within each of these areas we have a deep legacy and understanding of what inspection actually demands in the field—the difficult angles, the tight spaces, the need for data you can act on, and the pressure of making a call that protects people, assets, and operations. We build our solutions around these realities.

In NDT, we provide thickness gauges, conventional and phased array flaw detectors, eddy current instruments, and scanners engineered to deliver reliable results in the environments where you actually work, not just in the lab. In RVI, our video borescopes are built to reach where you can’t, delivering outstanding image quality in the hard-to-access spaces across aviation, power generation, oil and gas, and industrial manufacturing. In material analysis, our X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analyzers bring lab-quality elemental analysis into the field—fast, rugged, and precise enough for alloy verification, precious metals, scrap sorting, and environmental assessment.

Evident was originally the Scientific Solutions Division of Olympus Corporation, where our history spanned over 100 years. In 2022, that division became Evident, a standalone company built to move faster, focus sharper, and serve inspection customers better. In 2025, Evident’s Inspection Technologies business became part of Wabtec Corporation, a global industrial leader with deep expertise in Digital Intelligence, operational excellence, and systems that help industries run more safely and efficiently.
