In-service wind turbine towers and blades are regularly inspected by rope access NDT technicians, and the EPOCH 6LT flaw detector is powerful enough to conduct both inspections using a single instrument. The acoustic and sizing features of the EPOCH 6LT flaw detector are well-suited to inspecting the welded joints of a wind tower. Given the attenuation and sound scattering properties of composite blade material, turbine blade inspections require a very capable instrument, and the EPOCH 6LT flaw detector is up to the challenge.

The EPOCH 6LT flaw detector features the same high dynamic range pulser/receiver as the EPOCH 650 flaw detector, including:

- Digital high dynamic range receiver

- Pulser voltage up to 400 V

When your inspection is finished, the EPOCH 6LT flaw detector makes data management easy. Multiple report and data file formats can be exported from the instrument via removable USB memory or, with optional Wireless LAN, to the Evident Scientific Cloud.
