The MapROVER system with the OmniScan X3 flaw detector and HydroFORM
A versatile system, different MapROVER configurations are possible depending on your needs. A combined MapROVER and HydroFORM™ corrosion mapping system offers a powerful and efficient solution, enabling PA imaging of remaining wall thickness and midwall anomalies. For high-temperature applications, the MapROVER HT scanner is equipped with a cooling system that enables automated corrosion mapping on surfaces as hot as 350°C (662 °F). Implement advanced techniques such as the total focusing method (TFM) with a MapROVER and OmniScan X3 configuration or opt for a dependable and cost-effective conventional dual UT inspection using our OmniScan™ SX acquisition unit.
Configurations
A MapROVER and HydroFORM phased array configuration is our most efficient pipeline corrosion mapping solution.
For inspection of parts with surface temperatures of up to 350°C (662 °F), the MapROVER HT system is an optimal solution for automated corrosion mapping.
Equipped with dual-element UT transducers, the MapROVER scanner and our OmniScan™ SX acquisition unit offers a cost-effective conventional dual UT inspection solution.
Features
- Single-motor technology driving all four magnetic wheels for constant and straight data acquisition at up to 147 mm/s.
- Motorized raster arm enabling a scan width of up to 600 mm (optional 300 mm, 900 mm, and 1600 mm widths available) travelling at a speed of up to 900 mm/s.
- Touch-screen remote with two joysticks; configure so that scanner movement requires constant user input (jog) or so that one input starts the scanner and a second stops it.
- Two automatic raster scan patterns are available.
- Performs data acquisition using an OmniScan SX UT flaw detector, OmniScan™ X3 series flaw detector, or FOCUS PX instrument requiring less than five minutes to configure.
- Divisible cable conduit umbilical offers cable protection and flexible configuration.
- Emergency-stop buttons located on the scanner and on the power supply.
- Handle for scanner manipulation.
Standard Inclusions
- Nonsteerable motorized scanner.
- Touch screen remote control.
- Power controller.
- Detachable umbilical cables with divisible protection sleeve.
- Encoder cable linking to an OmniScan series flaw detector (current generation) or FOCUS PX instrument.
- Irrigation tubing.
- Carrying case(s).
- Motorized raster arm with heavy duty probe holder or probe holder rack with 4 probes holders (depending on configuration).
High-Temperature MapROVER HT System:
- Liquid cooled scanner and raster arm enabling inspection of surfaces as hot as 350°C (662 °F).
- High-temperature resistant magnetic wheels and protective cable sleeve.
