Nicolas Badeau obtained his bachelor’s degree in engineering physics from Université Laval, Quebec, Canada in 2014. That same year, he was hired by Evident as a scientist and worked for six years in that role, concentrating mainly on phased array ultrasound (PAUT) technology development. Products he helped bring to fruition include the OmniScan™ X3 phased array and total focusing method (TFM) flaw detector, the FlexoFORM™ scanner, and the phase coherence imaging (PCI) algorithm for the PCI feature on the OmniScan X3 64 flaw detector. Nicolas completed his master’s degree in Robotics at Université Laval in 2020, and since then has worked on the development of automated robotic inspection systems at Evident.
